the joseph f. sullivan center is an interdisciplinary health center at clemson university, located on the first floor of edwards hall. we want to cu well on campus! our nurse practitioners and nurses are available monday through friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. the sullivan center offers a range of services, from health promotion and annual physicals with our cu 4 health program, to lab services, immunizations, and disease management. to make an appointment, call our front office at 864-656-3076.
measles is a highly infectious disease which has recently reappeared as a public health threat due to declining rates of immunization in the us and worldwide. as of august 1, 2019, the cdc has confirmed 1,172 cases of measles in 30 states, and the spread of measles is expected to increase in the next few months. although sc has not reported any cases so far in 2019, there is a strong likelihood that measles will appear somewhere in the state in 2019. according to the cdc, unvaccinated college students are at increased risk of infection with measles compared to the general population. clemson university has established a requirement that all students provide proof of immunity to measles and other vaccine-preventable diseases as a condition of enrollment at the university. redfern health center will continue to rigorously enforce immunization requirements in order to minimize the risks of a measles outbreak at clemson university. employees interested in the mmr vaccine can call the joseph f. sullivan center on campus to schedule an appointment for vaccination. groups of employees who would like to schedule an immunization clinic at their department locations can contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information on how to schedule an immunization clinic. the sullivan center will also offer mmr vaccinations at the pro benefits expo on october 15th. the university continues to monitor the situation and will update the campus community as needed.
the world’s first 100 percent solar-powered, mobiles health clinic will be unveiled thursday at clemson university joseph f. sullivan center on campus. the clinic will provide educational opportunities for clemson students and increase outreach efforts to underserved populations in the upstate and beyond. the new, one-of-a-kind vehicle includes other features that increase its efficiency and versatility in its role as the mobiles arm of the health care center. read more
